Role Overview
The IT Administrator will be responsible for hardware procurement, device management, IT asset tracking, network administration, and internal IT support across the organization. The role requires someone who is organised, proactive, and comfortable managing a growing startup’s IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Hardware & Asset Management
- Manage procurement of laptops, accessories, networking equipment, and other IT hardware.
- Maintain inventory and lifecycle management of all IT assets.
- Configure and deploy laptops, desktops, and peripherals for new employees.
- Coordinate repairs, replacements, and warranty management with vendors.
System Administration
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access control across internal systems.
- Maintain system security, software updates, and endpoint protection.
- Monitor and manage office network infrastructure (Wi-Fi, routers, firewalls).
IT Support
- Provide day-to-day technical support to employees for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Troubleshoot system performance, connectivity, and device issues.
- Ensure smooth onboarding and offboarding from an IT perspective.
Vendor & Procurement Management
- Coordinate with IT vendors and service providers.
- Evaluate hardware options and ensure cost-effective procurement.
- Manage AMC contracts and service relationships.
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain IT policies, asset registers, and documentation.
- Ensure data security practices and access protocols are followed.
- Support internal audits related to IT assets and security practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in System Administration / IT Infrastructure / IT Support.
- Experience managing hardware procurement and IT asset management.
- Knowledge of Windows, MacOS, and common enterprise tools (Google Workspace, Slack, etc.).
- Basic understanding of network administration and security practices.
- Experience with endpoint security and device management tools is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
